This photograph was taken on Worthing Beach, Christ Church, Barbados. This is an example of the beautiful sunsets this country is blessed with on a nightly basis. In this photograph I chose to underexpose the image and thereby making the story about the sunset over the water. While you can see the surf line where the water touches the beach most of the beach is in the shadows.

Barbados has some of the most amazing sunrises and sunsets of anywhere I have been. On a recent family vacation to Barbados I had gotten up early to watch the sunrise over the water. As you can clearly see it is mesmerizing. The gorgeous light reflecting off the clouds and the water makes it a beautiful moment captured in time.

This is just a fun picture I made while walking on the beach with my family. The two footprints belong to my wife and daughter.

“Playing in Barbados” is a photograph of my daughter taken a couple of years while visiting Barbados. She was playing near the surf just at the beginning of golden hour and I thought it would make a beautiful print. The original photograph was blended with some other texture files to enhance the overall mood of the print. Once I was happy with the final product I used my painting software to turn the digital photograph into a faux painting.

If there is a paradise I would have to suggest Barbados is the closest I have ever been. The country is graced by beautiful landscapes, wonderful beaches, tremendous warm water, gorgeous sunsets, and fantastic people. In this image one of local people was walking up the beach carrying his fishing gear. Behind the fisherman the clouds and sunlight were absolutely stunning and I knew I had to make an image. Hope you enjoy

“Paradise Sunset” is based on a photograph I made while visiting Barbados with my family back in 2014. I absolutely love the colours in this print.

This little fella is an Atlantic Ghost Crab sunning itself on the rocks near the edge of the water front. I love the big eyes staring at the camera.
